Handmade from 100% Authentic Aotearoa Pounamu, this stunning Roimata is carved from Totoweka stone, known for its deep, earthy greens and rich “blood toned” markings. The piece features traditional Roimata lashing and is fully hand-carved with care and intention.
This particular carving carries a beautiful healed fracture – a natural line within the stone where the Pounamu has fractured and re-fused over time under immense geological pressure. Healed fractures are highly valued by many carvers and collectors, as they symbolise resilience, strength, and the ability to endure and mend. In this piece, the healed fracture adds character, depth, and a unique storytelling element that cannot be replicated.
