A deeply moving taonga of comfort, healing, and connection, this unique Roimata (Teardrop) pendant has been completely hand-carved by artisan carver Dion.
This piece is sculpted from a highly character-filled variety of Kāwhakawa Pounamu, celebrated for its deep, rich olive tones. The stone features a moody green base intricately patterned with dark, sweeping "flower" inclusions that look like natural ink brushstrokes frozen in time. When held to the light, the pendant undergoes a breathtaking transformation—the dark olive stone glows with a warm, translucent golden-amber radiance, bringing the internal plumes vividly to life.
Measuring 7cm x 2cm, Dion has given this Roimata a distinct, subtly architectural shape with a beautiful, sweeping curve. It is finished with an elegant, extended black whipping lashing that tapers seamlessly into a hand-plaited black neckline cord, fitted with an adjustable slider knot.
Comes packaged in a black keepsake box.
