Immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of the wilderness with this extraordinary 12cm Toki (Adze) pendant. Hand-carved from a highly unique, character-filled variety of Pounamu, this piece is a striking departure from uniform greenstone.
The surface of the stone boasts a complex, variegated deep forest-green body. It is heavily patterned with natural earthy-brown flecks and unique, subtle purple inclusions that perfectly mimic the organic, dappled coloring of a wild river trout.
In natural daylight the stone displays a smooth, glassy finish that accentuates its moody, complex grain. When backlit it reveals a completely different side: a luminous olive-gold glow that contrasts sharply against its dark, swirling internal shadows.
Bound with a masterfully precise, heavy-duty black lashing at the crown, this substantial piece combines traditional strength with a rare, raw aesthetic. It is a powerful talisman for those who feel a deep affinity for the rivers, the forests, and the untamed natural world.
